Goosebumps The Musical: Phantom of the Auditorium
Book and Lyrics by John Maclay, Music and Lyrics by Danny Abosch, Based on the Books by R.L. Stine
*world premiere*
First Stage Children's Theatre, Milwaukee, WI
For this world premiere musical based on the popular children's books, the challenge was to take the audience from the haunted(?) school auditorium down into the bowels of the boiler room without ever leaving the main location. Clever lighting and sound effects, along with a back wall that opens to reveal boilers did the trick.
